HMS Band Superior AGAIN

HMS Band Superior AGAIN Mr. Cooley reports,
"Last Saturday Honors and Symphonic band students competed in the LISD Spring Solo and Ensemble contest. For the first time ever, every single student from our school received the highest rating possible. This has been a goal for several years, and we have been close, but this is the first time that it actually happened. We are also the only school in the district that had every single student who get a Superior rating. In addition to this accolade we had 4 ensembles chosen as outstanding ensembles of the day. They were: Honors Band Saxophones, Honors Band Clarinets, Honors Band Trumpets and Honors Band Low Brass. Please congratulate these students when you see them".

Varsity Women's Choir Exemplary in UIL
Mrs. Thomas reports, "The good news keeps coming with our school. Our varsity women received sweepstakes - superior ratings on stage and in sight reading. I can not be more proud. This is the highest possible rating available for our UIL competition."
Honors Band Exemplary in UIL

Honors Band Exemplary in UIL Mr. Cooley tells us, "Yesterday the Honors Band competed in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading competition. This is the band version of the STAAR test. We received perfect scores from all 6 judges. These kids have worked really hard on music that is 2 grade levels above their requirements. Please congratulate the kids as you see them today. Below are some quotes from the judges critique sheets."
